Running is a starting point.
Opening an application on a development machine is an important step. Going live also means keeping it understandable and manageable under different conditions. This sample article outlines a practical way to think about release readiness.
Make configuration explicit
Document required environment variables, where data lives and what external services do. Keep credentials separate from source code. A fresh installation should not depend on somebody’s memory.
When something goes wrong
Consider health checks, useful error logs and a tested restore process together. Having a backup matters; being able to restore it into a clean installation matters just as much.
A small release checklist
Verify key flows in a test environment. Check forms, links, mobile layouts and failure states. Deploy, then keep observing how the application behaves.
